Coinbase Giving x Toucan: Announcing Ecosystem Grants for Regenerative Innovation

We at Toucan 💚 builders, and we’re here to make it as easy as possible to build with carbon. To do this, we are excited to announce that Coinbase Giving has agreed to grant $500k to Toucan to kickstart our Builder Hub, and 100 percent of the funds will go directly toward supporting innovators operating at the intersection between the climate and web3! Through our builder program, you can gain free access to mentorship, events, workshops, educational content, and grants for products of all stages, from ideation to a fully developed product.

For the first round of grant recipients, we’re looking for products that:

• Are building with the Toucan infrastructure
• Have not previously received over $1m in funding
• Expand utility
• Expand end-user access
• Expand Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) in web3
• Are needed within their ecosystem

Bonus points for products with:

• Open-source tech
• Traction
• Commercial opportunity

Applications are currently OPEN, and all interested builders should apply directly through the Toucan Builder Hub by Saturday, April 30th in order to be considered for the first round of grants! Decisions will be announced by mid-May. Applications will then continue to remain open and reviewed on a monthly basis for consideration in future rounds.
